Untether Art Prize

“Shared Light “

I'm delighted to share that Shared Light has been selected as a finalist for the Untether Art Prize.

The official opening is Saturday 25 July, 1:30–3:30 pm, with the announcement of Best in Show and other prize winners at 2:00 pm. If you're able to come along, I'd love to see you there.

About Shared Light

Created for the exhibition theme "We Are One," Shared Light began with a quiet moment on a train. My son sits absorbed in thought as sunlight catches his face, transforming an ordinary journey into something timeless.

The title speaks not only to the light that falls across him, but to the experiences that connect us all. We each carry moments of hope, uncertainty, reflection and resilience. Although our journeys are uniquely our own, they are illuminated by the same light and shaped by our shared humanity.

I wanted this painting to capture the tenderness found in everyday moments, the reminder that beneath our differences we are connected, travelling alongside one another through life.

The Gift Group Exhibition

Shoreline Treasure
The Gift — Untether Gallery

Shop 5/132 Little Malop Street, Geelong VIC 3220

A meditation on the gifts that anchor my life. My children, the ocean, and the simple treasures the sea offers. The starfish, once a gift from my husband, becomes in my children’s hands a bridge between discovery and memory, weaving together family, nature, and the quiet joy of noticing.

Nostalgia. Curated Group Exhibition. Untether, 5/132 Little Malop Street, Geelong.

I am delighted to be part of Nostalgia, a curated group exhibition exploring memory, belonging, and the threads that connect past and present.

Two of my works will be shown:

  • In the Safety of Snow

  • Wash of Thought

Both pieces draw on my own journey of moving from England to Australia, holding fragments of another time and place, while moving forward through life. They reflect on the quiet spaces of memory: long dog walks across familiar landscapes, and the tender recollections of life of yesteryear..

For me, nostalgia is not just looking back, but carrying these moments with me, the light, the weather, the seasons of life, shaping how I see and create today.
