Wave after Wave

Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia

Oil on canvas 61x46x2cm

Perched high above the Great Ocean Road, the view was endless, wave after wave rolling in, the ocean vast beyond measure. It was our first holiday in Australia, a family road trip along this glorious coastline, the beginning of a new chapter. I painted the sea as I felt it then, powerful, eternal, ever-flowing, carrying with it both wonder and gratitude. To stand here was to feel so small, yet so fortunate, to be held by the immensity of the ocean and the gift of calling this place home.
